About The School
California Heights Parent Participation Nursery School (“CHPPNS”) is a teacher-led co-op preschool located in Long Beach that dates back to 1947. CHPPNS has been around for over 75 years because it is an effective and fun way of educating preschool-aged children in our neighborhood!
A parent participation nursery school, is by definition, an organized group of parents working toward a common or mutual benefit. Families who choose to invest their time in a co-op find that they often get much more back than they invest into it. We all share the small and large tasks that make our co-op work well. Our shared goal is our children’s well being

Our Teacher
Soledad Vazquez is an experienced educator with a strong background in early childhood education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Child Development and is passionate about creating nurturing and enriching learning environments for young children. Her warm and bright personality shines as she strives to support each child's growth and development through play-based learning. She is our Arts and Crafts Queen, Wiggle Dance Champ and Calm Corner Guru. CHPPNS is thrilled to have Ms. Sol on board as our Teacher and Program Director!
